My Heart Behind Run the Race + some encouragement for you!

Before the new year rang in, I spent some time in prayer asking the Lord to lead me in the blog. I began this with a heart for words but an even bigger heart for Jesus, and this was a beautiful opportunity for me to once again, surrender it to Him and seek His wisdom on where it should go.

I truly felt Him telling me to keep doing what I'm doing, to pursue and accept new opportunities, and to try new things with these gifts He's given me. I have some really, really fun ideas ahead, and I pray that they are just as powerful for you as they are for me.

In December, the Lord put some words on my heart for the blog, and those words were encourage and equip. My goal here at Run the Race is to encourage you, to remind you of the truth and bring you back to the feet of Jesus, while also equipping you to walk in a relationship with the Lord intimately and consistently on your own. This time of prayer has really brought me back to that purpose and goal here. It's never been about the views for me (although growth has always been a prayer!), but more about creating quality content that is personal, as if I was in the room with you, encouraging and equipping you. Moving forward, that is going to be my focus even more so, and I'm so excited about it.

I have some big dreams for this blog of mine, and I know that the Lord has an even bigger vision for me. I have some exciting resources on the horizon that I cannot wait to share with y'all, again, with the heart of encouraging and equipping. If there is anything that you want to see from Run the Race, content-wise or resource-wise, I'd love to know! Reach out to me and I will happily take your suggestions.

With that being said, I won't close out this post without leaving you with a little bit of encouragement!

Continue pursuing the Lord, passionately and consistently. The dreams on your heart are there for a reason, and the Lord wants to do something with them. It might not make sense right now, and it might not feel like He's moving at all, but I promise you, there is so much behind the scenes work! I personally am in a place of waiting to see His hand on some areas of my life, and it's been very discouraging, but He has spoken to me over and over again that it will come, and this is my preparation season. Keep the faith, keep trusting that the Lord is going to do something in you and through you. Wait boldly and joyfully, because the devil would love nothing more than to get us down and out during this difficult waiting season. It will happen, and it will be even greater than your biggest prayers.

I am so thankful for all of you and everything that the Lord is doing! I pray that this post gave you a little bit of insight into my heart behind Run the Race as well as offered you a little bit of encouragement to carry you throughout your day.

Jesus wants to hear from you today! Go, meet Him in the secret place, and He will surely make Himself clear to you there.
